It's all well and good having a pit of money to dip into, whenever a club needs to sign a new player, but I think it's more important for clubs to be sustainable. What would happen if the pit of money dried up? I'm not convinced that Toulouse are more sustainable than Salford.

salford arent sustainable without their chairman

salford dont spend the full salary cap because they cant afford too.

without a new ground salford wont progress as a club

toulose werent rejected from SL due to their finances which were quite good

the feeling was to allow les cats more time to bed in and also that les cats were reputed to have poor finances.

ive got little doubt about toulose in SL next time

Oh dear. How embarrassing. Clueless. Do you know the Shareholder Capital of Toulouse? Do you know the Shareholder Capital of Salford? Do you even know the turnover of each club? These are just the basic numbers you'd need to come up with to back up what you're saying in previous posts. Trot along and do some research and come back when you know what you're talking about.

you mean the turnover of salford in NL1?

or their turnover in SL?

you mean the turnover of toulose in the elite?

or in NL1?

or SL?

and you think maybe the RFL already compared the finances of each in a post franchise summary which youve clearly not read.

yeah, i can see why you are getting upset.

Well, as the LER comp is better than the Welsh conference and there are French internationals outside of the Catalan squad, I would agree that they could have fielded a better squad than Crusaders with less foreigners.

Would have relied on pulling off all the required signings from the LER, many of those targets are just not interested in moving from their current club. I think from a French player pov they were better off in the Championship, TO's squad would have been similar in composition from a french player POV - just better imports; that and they possibly would not have had an option to borrow Catalan players. (Though it would be excellent for our player development to lend fringe players to a TO in SL, ahhh, the benefits fo a feeder club)

i just read things the RFL said about its decision making process on franchises rather than just going off the top of my head.

each of us has different methods here.

really funny when LR asked me about the respective turnover of each club and then didnt think much about the question.

the fact salford got placed in SL over NL1 means their revenues are higher than historically.

the fact that toulose are now in NL1 not elite will mean a different revenues and costs as well.

TO are hammering Leigh at the moment, 22-0 HT.

The TV site they gave on Leigh web site is not correct. It is Orange TV info, not the sports match broadcast channel
