I actually think 3rd and 4th spots are up for grabs this year.

The obvious candidates such as Wigan, Bradford and Wire have all had below average starts, and whilst I expect them to come back and kick some form together, it has left things open for others to come in and make a challenge. I think the only places that are easy to predict this year are top 2 and bottom 2.

No it wouldn't have hurt at all. I just didn't regard hull as a pre-season favourite for a top 4 spot and neither did you if you're honest.

I do now though :)

I think if they keep this form up, they're in with a shout.

Then again so are the likes of KR, FC, Quins, Hudds and Wakey based on early season form.

It's going to be tight, that's for sure. Personally I'll be delighted with top 6, let alone anything else.

castleford were very fortunate winnners today but they have the knack of winning ugly which all top teams need and these results are the difference between making the top 4 and not.

By that do you mean Saints or Leeds?

They've already played Hudds (3rd) and Hull (5th) who many would consider at moment to be form teams.

Catalans, Hull FC, Bradford and even joke club Wigan were all fancied and tipped to have better seasons than Cas and all have have been turned over by Cas.

good job none of them had half decent goal kickers for them games against cas

4 wins could've easily been 3 losses and a draw, but fair play to them, they play open attractive rugby, it's refreshing to see a top 5 without the usual suspects
