Yes, I Smithies should have got 10 for the high shot on Greenwood.
There was a blatant professional foul holding down French just before half time that should also have been a sin bin.
The McQueen try had 2 obstructions in it, both lead runners went straight into defenders not through the line, identical to the obstruction he have in the first set against Wigan.
I’d also question why the game was stopped immediately for Hill’s leg injury yet allowed to play on for Thornley’s leg injury which was only a few yards from the play the ball.
People can focus on a single incident and try and blame the ref all they like but the bottom line is Huddersfield’s tactics were negative which in the end cost them the game.
In relation to the injury, I’m not sure what you were watching but the game wasn’t stopped immediately at all! Hill was injured carrying the ball in a tackle, the game was only stopped after you had the ball and had played the ball a couple of times! hill initially went down, the game continued, he tried to get up again and couldn’t, the game still continued, it was only when he had completely broken down and the game was then coming towards him that the game was stopped. It was clear he’d done something major-he played no further part in the game - thornley played on so you can’t compare the two!
Could also mention the play where Jerry almost scored and on the next play cogger went for the line and two wigan players tackled him high, one round the neck, the other round the head that went unpunished. - we could play this fit for tat game all day long!!!
But there’s a difference between a desperate tackle and a deliberate forearm smash to the face.
I know Morgan personally-always cheer him on when he’s not playing against us - but he should have walked. It may well have made no difference but consistency is what we’ve been asking for all season and that stupidity at the start of the season means we will never have it.
