Leeds would love to rebuild the Western Terrace but the public footpath and houses directly behind it make it impossible.
I'd heard a few years back that Leeds had bought some of the houses behind the Western Terrace but others didn't want to sell. How true that is I don't know.
As for a roof, it'd be quite difficult to do there without either a large cost (the scoreboard and video screen would have to be moved) or it would end up being too high and lead to the houses behind objecting to planning.
