When seagulls follow a trawler, it is because they think sardines will be thrown into the sea.

Little Pepe went to nursery school one day wearing his Widnes hat. His teacher asked him why he was a Widnes fan. He said, “Because my parents are.” His teacher said, “That’s not good. What would you do if your parents were drug dealers and hookers?” He replied, “Well then I would be a Warrington fan.”

There's a Wooly over there, baggy kecks and feathered hair
with a 3 star jumper half way up his back, that’s a fecking Wooly back!

Oooh-to… Oooh-to-be… Oooh-to-be-a… WOOLY!

To be honest, I'd say most Championship teams are on a level playing field. Dare I say until recently, Widnes were worse off! Now it appears as though the whole squad is training together. Fev's players will have to get holidays booked.

How does having a multi-millionaire backer enabling you to sign 9 full time players put you at a disadvantage ?

I think he was referring to Widnes's form rather than anything else.

Doesn't give the supporters sufficient time to book time off work to get there. Some won't be able to take the time off work to get there, even if they could book it off. Gives them no consideration whatsoever.

And what about the players? Many of them will be due to work on both Thursday and Friday. Not really fair on them, is it?

And just because it's happened before, that doesn't make it right.

You do recall that in the days when all clubs were semi pro, midweek games were a regular part of the fixtures don't you?
