When was the last time you saw a TJ not mic'd up removing the need to run onto the field to get the referee's attention?

surely that's the point - as punters can't see their lips moving (think about this - the closest TJ has his back to them and the other is circa 50/60m away, in which case they couldn't see his lips move anyway) then surely this means the TJ's are incompetent and spineless?



You see, what they really want is for the TJ's to use their flags and come on the field of play so that they can then complain about the hold-ups in play and how they only come on to 'get their face on telly' or sommit similar.

Myabe these 'missed' calls are actually not missed at all but have been seen after all and ajudged to be ok. Maybe they got the call wrong but that doesn't mean they missed it.

When was the last time there was any possble gain to be had from engaging with fredie?

does that mean his main assessment is based on what looks cool, or perhaps superfly?

It's easier to drop a ball than miss an obvious forward pass.

Just a couple of decisions and I think the first was a Leeds player (prop) from a kick off he had one foot out of play when he caught the ball on the full, the ref gave a drop out, it was a TV game so had that advantage also his touch judges were poorly positioned. Considering there was no ruck to watch and the offside/onside was obviously all good by the time the player had caught the ball what exactly were the officials watching?

Another one was when I think Hull played Salford a few years ago, again a TV game, the tackle was called by the referee then the player (think it was the hooker) rolled off the tackle and planted the ball down, the video ref gave the try even though it was clear on the refs mic that the tackle was completed??

Two stupid decisions from past seasons that show even though your mic'd up the standard of officiating isn't what it should be. A fan can accpet an odd forward pass or over look a bit of a grapple tackle but its the glaring rubbish decisions or non decisions that really annoy people and unfortunately even though there are more mic'd up officials its the same decisions happening time and time again.

so why carry a flag?

maybe but we are not privy to the referees stats now are we?
