We are always trying to promote the game to new followers so of the course the RFL is quite right to encourage one of the most famous clubs in the world with one of the most distinctive kits to not wear it!!!

The RFL at time really has anatomical problems.

The ONLY time there should be a colour change is if the HOME team clashes with the opposition. All the home followers know their clubs colours inside out but if relatively new to the game may appreciate the knowledge of the true strip of the opposition.

If you look at the leagues there should be very few clashes but once again the "experts" put their oar in.

It's confusing how they work it out.

We played Wakefield twice at Belle Vue recently and we (wigan) wore our home kit for the first match and our away kit for the second trip. Same last year against Catalans away. Cherry & White for first trip and Blue for the other two trips.

There was a terrible colour clash both times we wore cherry&white against those teams.

The RFL give the team a choice in which kit to wear, then it is up to I presume the kit man which kit the team wears (which sort of explains why Wigan have worn both kits away to Wakefield).

The Operational Rules state:

B2:4 The competing Clubs in each Match must confer in advance of the Match day to ensure that there is no clash of Colours on the day and shall comply with any kit directives issued by the RFL. In any event, the visiting Club must bring two different sets of strip to the Match. Any dispute shall be referred to the Match Officials Director.
Notwithstanding the above, when the Colours of two competing Clubs are, in the opinion of the referee, likely to cause confusion, the visiting Club shall change into such alternative strip or parts of strip as the referee may direct. If it so wishes a visiting Club may use its registered alternative strip for any Match where in the opinion of the Match Officials Director or the referee or the match commissioner there is no clash of colours with the home Club.

In a nutshell!!!

Wear what you want, we don't want to get involved!

Common sense isn't our strongpoint!!!

I would have thought that the home club would have several sets of kit available. it would make more sense rather than the away team having to bring 4 kits (Think about it in line with the operational rules, sponsors requirements etc).

I'm not sure what the issue is here.

Warrington wore their home kit, Wigan wore their away kit. Right decision.

Warrington's kit had very little blue on it.

We wore a predominantly white kit, Wigan wore a predominantly blue kit.

Predominantly white shirt, shorts and socks with primrose and blue trim, and people are complaining that Wigan DIDN'T wear their predominantly white shirt, shorts and socks with cherry hoops? Seriously?

It was DEFINITELY the right call. I can't understand why people would want both teams to wear a mainly white kit?! I think it's more important that fans can clearly tell the difference between the two teams than to recognise "famous" shirts.

We wore red in June in an attempt to counteract the fatigue had we worn navy blue. It clashed horribly and so we had to wear navy in August and September.

Find it annoying beyond belief that the Hull clubs have to wear the away kit now in the derby. How the hell do black & white, and red & white clash FFS?! :x :P Anyone who complains because of a colour clash should be banned from watching IMO.
