An isolated case of a former good player who has slid away in form and now has become reduced to steroids to try to get back to that former glory...

The price some will pay at the cutting edge of professional sport in Australia.

As for it being the latest "death knell" for the game, please...

persevere guys, sometimes they can be very funny, even when they think they are being serious

are you referring to the right thread there? I don't really see any trolling here, just valid points as to how those in the UK can compare and contrast the media over-reaction to some NRL off-field events.

Does the A league player present the most popular sports programme on TV?

Take the UK - Lethley King a soccer player here was drunk in a night club in London - it was all over the press - Ben Cockayne a RL player with Hull KR kicks a man half to death on CCTV it hardly registered in the national sports press never mind the news press.

It is the price top soccer players here pay for the high profile of the sport - sadly this appears to be the same for RL players in Aus.

Lethley...

yes i am referring to the correct thread.

it should be limited to people with the following :

1. an interest in the NRL.
2. an ability to elucidate an intelligent viewpoint on the NRL.
