Quote:Gaslight wrote noticed that the game against Hull F.C. and Castleford, a lot of tackles from Huddersfield players (mainly; Wild, Kirmond and Brown) were around the neck and head, looking at the RFL discipline reports, Wild and Kirmond have received a few warning letters already about tackling techniques - so have a fair few other Huddersfield players, so it isn't going un-noticed, the RFL seemingly don't have the bottle to dish out fines/bans to these players even though they are persistent with the "wrestling techniques".
The part Clarkey was looking at about how long they hold down in the tackle isn't the problem imo, most teams are slowing the PTB down too much now trying to copy the NRL last year.
Well you could not make it up if you tried Unless you are GASLIGHT.
Kirmond has recieved NO warning letters and has been up before the beak twice with no sanction.
Wild has been given two warning letters the minimum sanction which hardly counts as a dangerous indavidual. Considering he is making/ averaging 45 tackles per match maybe this season tiredness is a factor.
Additionally dozens of players this season from all clubs have recieved warning letters ( a change in policy by the Rfl is my guess)
Clarkey said that he watched the Cas game as well looking at all the tackling techniques and saw nothing wrong or different from other teams
