Odsal Crater is quite a sprawling area though, so 104,000 could quite happily cram into there I reckon, Wouldnt be too comfortable but if you look at the aerial photo the crowd was spread over quite an area.
I'll ask my Gran next time I see her, she was there that day

Remember them setting the SL attendance record in 1999 against Leeds with approx 25,000.
Is Wigan v Saints the current SL record by the way?

My Father was one of hundreds of volunteers who built the place back in 1947
