Success is a great crowd enhancer though. I think any SL club with Leeds' current credentials would draw an extra 5k.

obviously not!!,maybe people ought to look at that before they decide to spout rubbish in future.

I think you need to find another club to attempt to troll about. We don't care about Huddersfield, so why do you care about us? It's like Leeds United hating Manchester United, except Manchester United don't give a crap.
I'd put those 5k for Leeds down to them advertising themselves around Leeds more, and the relegation of Leeds United.
I believe we (Bradford) were losing crowds even when we were going through the successful years. That is down to boring rugby and Odsal - Odsal we hope is now getting rebuilt in the coming years.
Oh, I see you've struck a deal with the colleges in Huddersfield by the way with free tickets on demand to students? I may be wrong, but that's what I'm told by people who go to those colleges.
Now, shouldn't you be enjoying your gloating about Friday somewhere else. You'd think you won a grand final or something.
where was i trolling about your club sunshine i was merely stating that it was a coincidence that 2 clubs so close together happen to have 5,000 as a loss or gain duing one of those clubs successful period.
get off your high horse,we dont care about you ,you mean nothing to us - your west yorkshire's 4th team with an awful ground and awful bitter moaning fans - we are not in awe of your club anymore.
and if anything i was having a dig more at glory hunting supporters who may have possibly changed allegiances over a period of time from one past succesful club to a current one - if that is you then yes i was trolling.
your bradford bulls - a once feared dynamo of our game ,now your nothing, just another SL team.wake up and realise people dont care about your club anymore

your problem with that is that 5k didnt suddenly leave bradford and 5k didnt just appear at headingley
Leeds were getting crowds of 16k when bradford were getting of 13-14k
which means either A) your hypothesis is wrong because they are different people
or B) between these fans hedged their bets between about 2002 and 2005 and attended every game for both sides

Average - 2000 vs 2008 Bradford: 14,520 vs 10,287 Castleford: 7,980 vs 7,501 Harlequins: 3,431 vs 3,909 Huddersfield: 3,392 vs 7,820 Hull FC: 5,940 vs 13,432 Leeds: 12,674 vs 17,043 Saints: 8,809 vs 10,642 Wakefield: 4,621 vs 6,962 Warrington: 6,872 vs 9,500 Wigan: 10,536 vs 14,505
Halifax: 5,714 vs Hull KR: 8,623 Salford: 4,452 vs Catalans: 8,376
Can't believe how much the game has grown since I first started watching regularly.
some great crowd increases, and if Salford, Saints, Cas and Wakefield get their new grounds and have the 40-50% increases that Hull and Warrington have had...it will look even healthier.

It is.
Hull FC grew there crowds year on year upon entry to SL (not far different from our Divsion 1 attendances). Hull KR's all jumped on the bandwagon as soon as they got into SL.
