There is no way I could ever support another team besides the Canberra Raiders. But I am a fan of Rugby League, not just the Raiders. I will always follow the game because I believe it's the best sport in the world. Just like I watch and enjoy two other teams playing against eachother now, that would continue if the Raiders ceased to exist. Plus, there'll still be the NSW Blues and Australian Kangaroos to support.

I would follow Batley i lived around Batley 12 years now and watch them when Cas have not got a match.
I believe you should follow your local side which was Cas for 26 years and still do but i do like Batley to win and to beat other SMALL teams like featherstone.

beaten 4 times in 2 seasons of NL1 is not bad the second season we was only beaten by Widnes. Also we beat you lads by 60 in 1990s when we was one of the best side in the country.

I thought i could never follow anyone but Halifax. IF the worse did happen though - i'd still crave a live game at the weekends. I'd force myself to go and watch Widnes - my favourite "other" club.
Broncos changing their name effectively broke that connection that I had with the team and coupled with the 180 mile round trip to the Stoop, means that I only get to one or two SL games a season now.
I am guessing that if there was a pro team in the Midlands, my loyalties could be easily transferred to a new team.
I was attracted to the sport first rather than the tribal element of following club.
