For the france game.....for me we need to do what the union did a few years back and start building the team for the next world cup imo - look what we will want to play then and stick them in now and start developing.

For me I would go with;

1. Smith or Briscoe
2. Owen
3. Shenton
4. R. Hall
5. Ainscough
6. Myler
7. S Tompkins
8. Graham
9. Roby
10. S. Burgess
11. Ablett
12. J. Tompkins
13. Westerman
------------------------
14. McCarthy Scarsbrook
15. McIllurum
16. Eastmond
17. Prescott

For me that would easily have the beating of france. Lets get them in now, give them the experience and then use this as the basis of our sqaud for NZ and Aus, adding a bit of extra experience with say Peacock, Yeaman, Gleeson, O'Loughlin, Hock, McGuire, Burrow, Wilkin to make up the 25 for the 4 nations, which should make us competitive enough to at least get a couple of wins in the autumn and then build from there.

We'll only be good enough in the next WC if the players that form the basis of the squad start playing now IMO.

He'll go partly experimental but i wouldn't think it will be a totally novice side.

I'd guess it'll be something like-

Smith/Briscoe
Fox
Gleeson
Shenton
Hall
McGuire
Myler
S Burgess
Higham(if he'll pick Wire players)
Macarthy-Scarsbrook
JJB
Westwood(if he'll pick Wire players)
O'Loughlin

subs
L Burgess
Coley
Westerman
S Moore

Riley/Briscoe
Owen/Fox
Atkins
Gleeson
Gardner/Hall
Brough
Burrow
S.Burgess
Roby
Graham
JJB
O'loughlin
Westerman
SUBS.
L.Burgess/Hargreves
Smith/Shenton
Myler/Higham
Westwood/Clough

Think there is a great mix of youth and experiance but no real old heads. Great attacking flair in there aswell as aggresion.

Think people need to start looking at Paul Clough and Bryn Hargreves the lads are still young but making massive strides in the st's team. Also not many people seem interested in seeing Danny Brough making the england team after he switched....
