No, the community shield is the most pointless game of the season. Load of crap.

Nothing Game that has been replaced with the WCC.

I actually think it'd be a great idea if played in an 'expansion' area to showcase our game. Good excuse for a weekend away as well.

You've already got Murrayfield, Catalans, Cup semi's/final and... oh wait

It would be a good idea if you can promote it as an high profile event to add to the game's calendar as a way of starting the season now that the WCC is played several weeks in.

But I just cannot see it becoming one.

I doubt it will attract many neutral fans, and playing at a neutral venue how many supporters of the two teams will even travel for what is still only a warmup game? And if it is no different to anything else in pre-season then what is the point of forcing two teams to use one of their practice games to play each other just for the sake of it.

So, no.
