Hornets Hunt for Rochdale Fastest Rugby Player!!

During the upcoming Hornets V London Skolars Championship 1 game on the 26th of April at Spotland Stadium, Hornets are hosting a special sprint challenge to finally find who is the "Fastest Rugby Player in Rochdale"!

All the local amateur teams, both League and Union alongside the Rochdale Fijian Association are invited to send along two players to race off for the title.

Each participant will be given free entry for themselves and a guest for the Hornets V Skolars match. The winner along with being crowned "Rochdales Fastest Rugby Player" will receive a selection of the new Hornets RL merchandise which has just arrived in the newly refurbished Club Shop. All the local sides are being contacted but if you play your Rugby outside of Rochdale you can still enter if you contact Amanda at Hornets on 01706 648004.

Thanks to a generous donation from former Hornets player and Powderhall Sprinter, Mr Tony Pratt the competitors will be running for the "Tony Pratt Trophy" which is set to become an annual event.

Competitors will be expected to wear their respect amateur teams kit, the race will be over 80 meters carrying a rugby ball and they have to "score a try" at the end within the normal rules of Rugby League.

You might win funniest face in the tackle but cant see you coming close with any of the other's mate
