NRL jumped in quick enough over Stewarts drinking (ban nothing to do with subsequent charges). Is Gallop going to act on the Sharks & Roosters incidents, one player charged over drink drive, was quick off the mark with Manly but awaiting reports on others.

It certainly helps when Nick Politis is on the NRL board, it does seem a double standard, but i still dont think Friend should be banned, it was a of the field club incident and he has been punished by the club. A $10,000 fine is pretty big when you only earn $50,000 a year.

But the big question in all this is exactly why where the Roosters having a club organised drinking session the day after that defeat???
