Hello all.
Loooooooooong time no speak. I hope that you are all well, both friend and foe.
Obviously I do not get to keep up as much these days with minimal tv coverage and even less news reports of the RL Championship but every time I have a look it seems that the club is becoming more and more of an embarrassment.
Leave Odsal, back to Odsal. Turnover of staff/players. No realistic chance of ever joining the top flight for the foreseeable. Regular thrashings, poop crowds, owners getting pelters from all sides (nothing changes there!)
I realise that bad news sells more papers but is there anything of positivity coming out of the Wembley of the North that could give me a spark of hope?
TIA

Glad to see you’re still following in some form!
I can’t see any positives at the moment!
The recent crowds look like they’re at about 1500 (regardless of the 2.7k reported at the weekend).
I don’t know anyone who is 100% about renewing their ST for next season.
The team are poorly coached, unmotivated, unfit.
It’s a bit of a vicious circle - we don’t have the money to invest in the team / coach, crowds are falling and the budget for next year is reportedly much lower (although Wood said not).
I don’t see a way of things improving - perhaps the 10/1 shot of a new stadium is the only chance of a turnaround in fortunes. In reality, given we’ve all discussed this same point for 20 or more years, i don’t think I’d bet on it happening at 100/1 odds.

Thanks Ewen. Nice to see you are still posting.
All in all it looks pretty bleak then. I watched us get utterly humiliated by Fev the other week and it was sad to see how far we have fallen. Admittedly Fev must be breaching the salary cap with their collection of Harlem Globetrotters.
As for a new stadium. Is that actually a possibility? This has been discussed since Jesus was in the womb and my hopes of the Superdome have now finally faded away.

I don’t think so. Wood produced an artists sketch (we’ve never seen one of those before) at the fans forum and told fans it was a 10/1 chance for that plan and a 2/1 chance of any sort of development.
Given we’ve all been through the old OSV discussions which never came to pass, I don’t hold out much hope.

It’s bad and I’m struggling to see how the current management stop the rot without some sort of external finance. My only regular contribution is to BullBuilder, but I am only really still paying in to that out of respect for the people involved and the hard work they put in. I’ve only made two home games this year and haven’t been back since the Halifax debacle and to be honest I’m probably about done with this farce.
I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see the club in a fight for survival next year, on and off the pitch.

You see, this saddens me to hear as you were always one of the more positive Bulls fans (God knows we bickered enough!), and to read this is difficult tbh.
