Well done Bradford. Wonder if this will mean any positive news regarding Odsal? I know there is a lot of cynicism regarding Bradford winning, but just read that Coventry received £172m in grants and investment during its year as city of culture. Will be much needed for the city.

£172m in grants and potentially a lot more in terms of investment from other sources. This really couldn't have come at a better time with the economy about to go down the plughole. Should all hopefully coincide with Bradford Live opening too which will hopefully lead to a major boost to the city centre.
One could hope this has a knock on effect on sports in the city which are all in need of investment.

Has to be a massive positive for the City, let's hope it is spent wisely. Not sure whether the club has any realistic plan for improving our facilities other than the good work done by volunteers.

It can only be seen as a positive given the additional funds and exposure it will bring to the city. Bradford has been in desperate need for a long time so hopefully this is some positive change.
Hopefully the sport in the city can ride on the back of it too
Can I mardily and belatedly point out to the people of Bradford and Look North, that there's a lot more to "Culture" than just a young person spitting out street poetry about how hard their life is. It's both valid and relevant but its a narrow aspect of the cultural diversity of the city and its all I saw on the coverage.

Bongser, some time after leaving Bradford University, travelled to watch "La Boheme" at The Alhambra. Decent production by Opera North of culture that has, and will continue to stand the test of time, unlike street doggerel.
