This will be the last warm up game before we play Dewsbury at Owl Lane on the 30th. I'd expect Kear to play something resembling our first choice for the first half at least then maybe withdraw a few to keep them injury free for the following week.

It'll be interesting to see if Hall plays at fullback or whether he misses out again, he tweaked a hamstring in the captain's run before the Hull game apparently. If he's out I expect Eliot Kear at fullback. It'll also be interesting if our Leeds loanees turn out for either side.

I expect Leeds to play a decent side and this time I can see us getting well beaten. Despite that if we compete and avoid injuries that's good enough for me.

There should be a decent crowd given that it's versus Leeds. That should give a few people chance to see what a sight the stadium is now with the waterlogged track with some huge holes dug in it and the half assed effort of making the corners safer. Should provoke quite a few comments on social media.

On the game, we always look forward to a game vs Leeds. Even though the result technically doesn’t matter and we just need to get more minutes under the belt and through without injuries, I still want to see us give Leeds some problems.

Is the playing surface in that bad condition or is it just a field in winter that’s been played on twice in 8 days in the middle of winter after a deluge of snow relatively recently and the normal winter levels of rain?

The pitch is a bit heavy but it's not that bad. It's the corners and track that look awful.

It's probably a good thing we're playing Leeds as our goal line defence could do with a workout. We conceded two tries quite easily on Sunday when Brad Fash got involved so playing a side with a lot more SL players will certainly be a test.

I think Leeds will win by 30 but if we can repel a few sets on our line and perhaps create a bit in attack I'll be happy - so long as we avoid any injuries to key personnel. No more injuries to halfbacks pls.

Injuries in games are always a worry, but with recent events we should be just as concerned about players getting injured in training. Sounds like Hall is joining Lilley for a spell on the sidelines. What on earth are they doing in training?
