So after an opening round hammering. How do you think we will react or line up? We at least have Lilley back for this which should improve our attack and it frees Pickersgill to focus on FB.

Watched Fax against London and although London were truly woeful, I thought Fax were very good. Worryingly for us they did the basics superbly. Tackled hard, the big men ran hard in the middle creating the platform for their backs.
Normally a backlash happens after a poor performance. But I just don't know where Kear starts with everything that was wrong against Sheffield and I can't see how he turns it around in two weeks.
I don't think the squad is as bad as some make out. The team that got walloped against Sheffield last week, was more or less the same side, with the addition of Brough, Evans & Murphy (who are all quality players) that dominated Sheffield 28-0 12 months ago. So it's how we prepared fitness wise and attitude wise. Can we turn it around in two weeks? I'm not sure as we struggle against Halifax anyway. f we do it's, the biggest turnaround since Worrincys two try heroics at Knowsley Road where we were also woeful previously.

It's very early days in the season but the way we've started has been pretty abysmal compared with everyone else. Unless there's a big change in attitude this weekend we'll be on the end of another hiding. Performances like the last two make me very reluctant to part with any cash to watch it. Might just go with ChinaBull's updates!

It's an odd one this. The team have had 2 weeks to fix it. If we bring the attitude we had vs Fev & cut out the errors, should be closer. If we bring the attitude vs Sheffield, it'll be Halifax's easiest game of the season. We're at Dewsbury, tighter ground. Fax will have to apply pressure to both Brough & Lilley, rather than just Brough, which should improve our tactical kicking options. But ultimately we have to tackle as if we mean it.

I’m struggling to see how we can turn things around quickly enough for this game. Best I can see is a respectable scoreline and a massive improvement in desire and effort. Fully expecting another loss.

I'm pretty confident we won't be the same all year. We started like a house on fire last time round, only to find the season stopped before it really got started. This season we've been awful to be frank, but I'm sure we'll improve and someone will 'cop it' when we do. Not sure that team will be Fax though, to be honest. Unlike us they seem to be firing on all cylinders and according to reports, playing like a team.
Maybe we'll dig in and they'll be found wanting? RL often goes to the side which wants it the most and that's what we have to do. I think we have enough quality in the side to challenge anyone but without the bit of 'dog' we'll win nothing.

Our record at Dewsbury is not that great and usually when we do win its a bit of a struggle. I don't see this game been much different and Bradford should be fired up after the appaling Sheffield performance. We had some important players missing against Batley so it was hard to read too much in to that result where as London were awful so again its hard to read too much in to that. What I did like against London is that we moved the ball around against London and even though the pitch is pretty tight at Dewsbury, if we do that against bradford I do not think they will have the fitness to cope going on what I have seen of them so far.

Last time out it looked like Nige had taken the chairman's role and the conditioning role with sessions held a Spicey Cottage not Tong. Can't see past another d1cking at this point.
