They need to get rid of the ridiculous seeded draw. It's just the championship clubs playing each other again (apart from a couple of SL clubs) it's boring playing same teams all time. Get the SL clubs in earlier.

That's a fair point considering we will be coming up against the same clubs again in the 1895 Cup.
If we were drawn against Fax, we would have played them 3 times in the space of 6 weeks. Let that sink in. And we wonder why cup attendances are shrinking. How on earth would they have sold that to fans.

Part of me would love to see everyone thrown into the hat in Round 1. It would be great if an amateur NCL team drew Leeds or Wigan in Round 1, well financially at least. Only issue is there would be a hell of a lot of blowouts early doors.

In the Challenge Cup, the RFL had a crown jewel. Ending in a sellout at Wembley, live on BBC 1. With great viewing figures. An institution. Unfortunately, the incompetents never had a clue and still don't, what to do with it. So now it is reduced to one man and his dog crowds, and the RFL pitifully demanding some clubs pay a huge bond in case they reach the final, a more abject surrender of responsibility it would be hard to imagine. Soon it will be gone from its main attraction to fans, Wembley, and then it will be consigned to the dustbin of history.

Well I fancy us to beat Fev since I expect many of their dual reg will be unable to play as Leeds will want to make sure they’re not cup tied. It’ll be a repeat of our last cup tie when we played in the mud in front of a tiny crowd. This time I fancy us to win narrowly. Hopefully the weather will be better. I’d urge Chalmers to think creatively when marketing this game or we’ll be lucky to get 1000.
