Last month I did a book signing session in WH Smith and enjoyed the time I sat there, talking to a lot of people, some with an interest in or connection with rugby league, some with no interest in any form of sport and a lot who told me that they never read because they never have any time. I also met a couple of old friends, which is something I always enjoy. I have now been invited back to do another signing session this Friday (December 5th) from 10.30 onwards and so am looking forward to more of the same. In addition to promoting my three novels "One Winter", "One Autumn" and "Two Seasons" (with a general background of work, old friends, family life, romance and rugby league), I will also have with me, "Building The Family Game - A Rugby League Memoir". This is the auto biography of Maurice Oldroyd who was one of the key people involved in the development of amateur rugby league since the foundation of BARLA in 1973. How good is that you may ask? Well Maurice has just received his first Christmas card. It is from Neil Fox who includes the note "Enjoyed the book".

It would be a best seller."[/b]
