With mcdonnal leaving KR, at the bottom of the article it says catalans and fc are obviously after a full back as a replacement for mckinnon who went home the other week. Personally as many have already said, i would keep nas over.sammut but still see sammut as a.very valuable player. When we signed elliot kear i was wondering if he would be our long term option for FB and if money is in short supply and it means us keeping both Nas and sammut then i think.it would.be beneficiall to ship kearney out although his attacking.play and linking with the halves is very good, his defence is pretty poor amd as a last line of defence he is a major liability. So many games where he has just not attempted to make a last ditch tackle etc. Releasing a senior player isnt ideal but we have cover in kear and platt aswell. A back line of 1 kear 2 ainscough 3purtell 4 lulia 5 crookes Seems a strong one to me

Im not sure how u can take a player who is one of the top try scorers in the bulls team and most metres in the Super League out of your team and say we dont need him mad if you ask me. The only player in our team who can make something out of nothing and the most dangerous attacking player. they would be mad to sell him

There are few players we have that would command a transfer fee, and Kearney is one of them. He is a good player, but if we can get some cash for him I feel that I would rather lose him, than a Bateman, or a Whitehead etc... Also, because he is a quota player, we have to ask if him going would be advantageaous as I believe Sammut and Manase would be better assets long term, and wil probably be on considerably lower wages than Brett. This could be the deal that secures the club's future, and if it could be done, I'd do it!
Never liked Kevin Costner, or any other Robbing Hood!!!!

why would any club take on a player who is a "major liability" bit of an odd post!

Erm i do believe Heath can create something out of nothing...and is a game breaker whereas kearney does his odd little run. Aswell as a quota spot he is (like said above) one of the higher earners at the club. Id personally lilr to see kearney leave and an improved long term contract handed to Nas, 3/4 years and sammut on an improved one for 2 years. Let jeffries go amd allow addy to cover the halves as he is a compitant 6. W.bowling bull its my opinion that he is a liability at FB and an opinion ive held simce BK was switched to fb. At 6 his decision making is good but kicking game poor...at fb his attack is close to the best in SL but defence is like no one is at home

I think you lot are crackers even thinking about letting Kearney go. He is one of the best playrs in the team and does an awful lot for the team in attack & D. I have seen Kearney mak plenty of one on one tackles as the last man. And he is as solida as they come under the high ball.
Dont forget there is Talk of Diskin & Jeffries retiring at the end of the season so we will only have Le'Strange & O'Brien who looks promissing.
Ship Sammut out Keep Nas on a 3yr deal, Southernwoodd & Briggs will be at the club next year. Briggs & Gale will be playing together. With Addy & Southernwood in the mix.

The logic however I do agree in that letting him would in a strange roundabout way actually benefit Bradford.
Just spurious speculation at best.
youve got me wrong im not saying he is going anywhere ! maybe an option that we should potentially look into as it would reduce our wage bill and give us the option of retaining both sammut and Nas. we have cover for each position so ye personally i think it would be beneficially for the club to let him go. but ey everyone is entitled to their opinion and personally i think his defence is too shaky for comfort. yes we can make the 8 this year but in big games his shaky defence could cost us important games

You have Hull FC in the title but I would say that they won't be after Kearney as Gentle has stated in interviews that he plans for Richard Horne to move to fullback following McKinnon's departure.
I think you have a good player in Kearney - when we played you earlier this season he looked dangerous in attack. There would be players in your squad that I would prioritise replacing before Kearney.
