I believe he is yes. He's not done anything over here and it's hard to see why we'd want to pay big money for him.
However he would still improve our team as they are now. I don't think I'd want to be paying him the big bucks though unless his form in Super League drastically improves.

I had my fingers crossed when I typed that
Even if we were the richest club in the world, I would hope the board would have enough sense to see that King just hasn't settled in this country, and in all the time he has been over here has done nothing to justify the reputation that he carries with him.
I'd much rather the club go after young british talent such as Michael Shenton, I really wish we'd managed to coax him away from Cas last season!

Seemed to look a hell of a centre before he came over to Warrington though.
I would say it's more likely there's something over here that he's just not suited to. Whether that's the style of play, the climate or way of life, it's difficult to say. I bet if he went back to Oz, he'd be back tearing teams up.

King, while maybe a little bit short of top class, and too highly rated by some, was nevertheless an excellent back by NRL standards and this was no flash in the pan.
He has clearly not enjoyed his time at Warrington, but at his age there is no reason at all to believe that he's lost it, however bad his Wire form, and so if we could get him for similar money as Bird, we have not much to lose, so far as I can see. OK we would be losers if it turned out he is finished as a top player, but I don't believe that for a second in his case.
