Not sure about runaway leaders, I think with Wakey gone there will be quite a few clubs fancying their chances. We have some quality likely to leave yet, Doro is confirmed to be leaving etc.
I think the Bulls are quietly hoping for an increase to 14 teams SL in 2026 as this is probably our most realistic chance of promotion if the club keep progressing.
14 teams is the obvious choice, even if the two promoted clubs have less central distribution. I'm not saying that just because we're the current 14th team. Loop fixtures have gone from being a pain to an absolute cancer on the sport. Leeds V Wigan, which is one of the sports marquee fixtures, played each other for the first time a couple of weeks ago. That's round 21, when seasons can be almost over, in the middle of the summer holidays. They play each other again in 3 weeks time. No marketing gimmick can sell that.
Top spot will be wide open next year. We definitely won't be runaway leaders. Expect Fev to have another crack with new owners.

You have to admire his persistence. Also the fact he's managing expectations for next year already!
I’d love us to be runaway leaders but we’ve not managed that since our relegation. We couldn’t do it in L1 either!
A pretty handy squad coming together though. With a few additions and us pushing for those extra percentages gains we could turn some of the close losses to close wins and put ourselves up there.

Haha not at all. Realistically Bradford could be spending twice as much as the next team(Toulouse depending) and you have to think that is going to show on the field.
People dreaming of SL expanding to 14 teams is just a dream. SL chairman would never let it happen.

I'd be dubious about the claims coming out of Halifax that we are doubling their players contracts. They're having a tough time right now and are saying the right things to appease fans that are disappointed to see some of their better players leave.

If clubs are cutting cloth to suit smaller budgets then it stands to reason others will be paying more. Clubs losing their best players will always try and spin it to save face with their supporters. We've seen more than enough of that at the Bulls over the last 18 years.

Wonder how the recruitment to sign maizen from Whitehaven went.can play all along the backline with pace just what we are lacking .His try up there against us was outstanding.
