Unless he just isn't that ar5ed and thinks that with two extra SL teams he's bound to get a gig somewhere!

I know a copper in Sydney, unless Jeffries pulls his finger out and starts performing I'll get him to fit him up on something when he goes home for Christmas.

It's funny, I never thought we'd miss Iestyn that much but we are. Failing to get a replacement for him has really left us short in the playmaking department. While Menzies might be a stop gap he's more of a runner than a playmaker, and he performed that role at Manly. To take advantage of Menzies at stand off the rest of the side would need to support him a lot more than they currently do.

if deacon is out for wigan game then it'll be interesting to see who we play in the halves. jeffries to halfback is obvious but which off morro/menzies would we play at standoff given that other would almost certainly have to move to loose forward in langleys absence.

also assuming burgess is out are we likely to give crossley a shot?. sound like newton and godwin will both recover in time so assuming scruton and kopczak start bench would most likely be godwin, james, crossley and one of whitehead/crookes. given that a win away at wigan with the 5 first teamers out is doubtful would be an ideal game to give some of the younger players a run out and see what they can do. It certainly worked for wigan last week with tomkins and ainscough showing up some of the bigger names in the wigan team.

Poor kicking, poor decision making and astonishingly bad passing behind a dominant pack going forward. I lost count of the number of times that he wasted overlaps in the first half near their line by not releasing the ball quickly or else hurled the ball behind players or so far above their heads that they had to jump to catch the ball and all momentum was lost. He's an opposition defensive coach's dream.

If Deacon gets injured this season we are absolutely lost.

Ha Ha one of the best things that happened to us was you guys getting Jefferies I never rated him I keep on saying it you will get 1 outta 6 games good performance with him thats it. Is kicks are awful and he is very lazy.

I don't think many would describe Jeffries as a playmaker. His game is based on support play & utilising his speed. There are no real creative players if Newton is not peforming around the ruck.

yet there was no evidence of this on Friday. He needs to buck his ideas up.

As I've agreed elsewhere. My ongoing frustration is why this requirement always seems to be reserved for only one of the HBs.

Aye, Deacon should be doing this as well.

Originally when we signed Jeffries i thought great, bit of extra speed and an addition to our in-game kicking. I think, gradually Jeffries has got slower and sometimes his kicking can be appalling.
