Risky business but they know they are, once again, in a two horse race for promotion this year with Leigh. Last year they came out runners up so maybe this year they are spending big to make sure they dont fail again this year.

I’m sure they have done the sums but wasn’t it only a couple of years ago they were finishing a season struggling to cobble a team together (alongside Leigh) in the championship shield.

I bet we did our sums too but went bust a few times. But then our sums appear to have been done by Helen Keller wearing mittens.

Not to turn this into a Fev thread, but you need to look at who's left as well as who they've brought in.
Nu Brown, Parata, Harrison, Moors and Ferguson have all moved on and I'm sure there are some I've forgotten.

Apparently Kear said this at the shirt launch last night.

Halton, Welham. Dagger's back at HKR. I think JL is an amazing signing but overall I agree, it's an odd approach to say we need Pickersgill and Wildie before Brian Mac arrives and then an NRL class centre after he rocks up. It's a Toronto Wolfpack signing. Long way to go before the season so maybe they have another 2/3 signings up their sleeve. Leigh need to sign about 10 players to make a squad so lets see who they get.

Well I suppose that could mean a lot of things, from 3 first team players to 3 kids from their youth team.

He did. Three season long loans. Presumably younger players who’s clubs feel aren’t ready for SL yet, though obviously I don’t know that for sure.
When asked, he confirmed that season long loans can still be cut short if the parent club was getting low on players themselves, but he was hopeful this wouldn’t be the case with these three.

I suspect they are going to be youngsters or fringe players. I know some fans will expecting to see Walmsley, Makinson and Lomax!
