Not sure where that comes from. Fair enough, Bradford 2nd in January before falling to fifth, then sixth then, seventh and, following the "St. Valentine's Day Massacre", ninth and then tenth. Kear thought that was promising enough to award an extension - one that you have to bear the burden of. If Kear likes him, you should let Widnes have him for a fish supper and a bucket of conkers!

PS: Both Walker's belly and underpants were a disgrace for Kear's Wales last night, notwithstanding the weather. Did he make ANY yards after contact?

Dunning has already confirmed Jowitt isn't part of the half back options and will be used as a fullback.

Given this move, would probably mean season long loan for Johnson.

We have to ask, "who would have him?"

I suspect he is one of the top earners, having arrived from SL and then been given a new (possibly upgraded) contract.

Nobody in SL would touch him with a bargepole, and what Championship club will be able to afford him or want him?

Unless he is willing to take a pay cut - and why should he? - I have a feeling we could be stuck with him.

Maybe someone like Bodene could sit him down, explain how talented he actually is but how he's throwing it away acting like bertie big b0ll0x at a dump like Odsal.

He has to be the most infuriating player ever. When he wants he spins the game on it head but then sulks when it's not going well.

I know attitude is the hardest thing to sort but change that and we'd have people asking to take him off our hands.

Why were we so quick to give him a contract extension? It seemed stupid at the time and now look where we're at.

To be fair he played us like a fiddle. For the matches up to the extension he played like a world beater and I imagine we panicked.

I think he is getting a bad press here. His form went off second half of the season but who's didn't? Most of the time he was the only creative player in the team and probably our best goalkicker since Deacon. Can anyone give me any examples when he acted like Billy big b****cks? When he played alongside Lawford he only tried to encourage and help the young lad. I would like to see him in the halves with Holmes and Lilley at hooker. I think if he showed arrogance at times it was his frustration with the rest of the mostly useless team. As far as his kicking from hand I think he was playing to instructions.

If all of that is true why are we trying to get rid of him?

I'm not sure its on-field alone. There is a lingering suspicion that he's disruptive in some way behind the scenes. This is fuelled by various things, not least the fact that on talent alone, he shouldn't be at a lowly club like us. It's all circumstantial though I suppose. The fact is that that the culture of the club was clearly toxic last year and some individuals have to have been instrumental in that.
