Permanent or a loan mick?

Permanent.

Don't shoot me down for being optimistic about our chances next year.

We know two Championship clubs have asked players and staff to take a small % pay cut which will impact on recruitment.

The key for mine is the Walker, Holmes, Lilley and Patton spine and how that comes together.

We haven't been blessed with continuity in those key positions since 2014.

All well and good having good halves and backs. Need a dominant pack to play behind now!

Thompson, Scott and Butler are great starts. Need some props though now.

Only thing I worry about now is Walker’s injury record. Stays fit, easily the best FB in the league. But with Kear gone only back up we have is GF Jr.

All in all, happy with recruitment. I’d just like to see a centre to replace Evans. And some solid props. Couple with experience and a couple of Islanders who are just barnstorming haha! A guy can wish!

Has Evans confirmed that he is leaving?

I seem to remember hearing/reading that the club are getting Billy Jowitt to play fullback. More potential backup if Walker does get injured.

Interesting to see who these new additions are. Been a long time since we've had this sort of excitement when it comes to offseason signings.

I’d still want to replace him. I like the guy but I think we need more from that position.

I agree. Some signings are really solid, some are class. Still not sure why Walker has come like!

We need barnstorming forwards with an offload game playing half the season on a postage stamp and halves/backs who remember to play in support

Scott is an injury doubt so need to factor that in.

Surprised to hear that Kyle Evans doesn't have a club for next year (yet). I'd like to think we were at least making him an offer, he's looked good for Wales this WC.
