I was amazed to see the bookies give us a 12 point start today. I thought we might lose but no way were Leigh ever going to beat us by more than two converted scores.
It's not often bookies get it that wrong, made some easy money today!

Very pleasing performance and a deserved victory especially after getting so close in previous weeks without getting the points. Plenty of good solid graft and we took our chances well. Kear will be absolutely over the moon with that result. Next week should see a few players get a well earned rest before we head into Easter. Hopefully a few more bodies will be returning as well. Good afternoon of rugby.

I thought Kirk had one of his best games for us, he's under rated and people like to bag him as he doesn't make any spectacular tackle busts. He runs hard, finds his front, plays the ball quickly, rarely makes a handling error or misses a tackle. A step up from him today.

Excellent team performance today. So many stand out performers (Wildie, Kirk, Evans & Ryan) and some good tries scored. Glad we didn’t get sucked into the antics in the second half and kept our cool and put the game to bed.

Was Minchella substituted due to an injury?

I would guess it was because the lad ran his blood to water - as he always does.

Can't beat a Bradford lad with a Bradford shirt on - warms cockles of me heart.

I didn't see that coming - seeing as we actually played a mostly St Helens side overall.

That said - Micky Higham would be in my team any day and at least he is a true Leyther....

Despite having no half backs and having no idea how to attack - we did it through sheer grit and determination - cashing in on the many loose passes from Leigh.

Was good to see Hood losing his marbles over something and the Leigh staff going nuts over something else (no idea what)

Our decisive scores in the second half came from Leigh errors and nothing else.

The Evans try saver was the game changer for me - just superb and it deflated them like a pin in a balloon.

Happy days - time for Corona and crisps..

What a performance. We're definitely improving and only going to get better with the players we have to come back (Peltier, Lilley, Keyes/Chisholm)

I thought our forwards were superb and all deserve a breather next week.

Farrell, Minchella and Storton all turned their blood to water. They just couldn't put Storton down. All 4 props ran with real intent. Evans was a class above. Him and Gibsons try saver at 20-12 was the game breaker for me. Shout out to Rowan Milnes who created both our opening tries with a lovely pass and kick. Our breakaway tries weren't luck, they were from excellent defensive work which forced Leigh to panic.

Discipline also a big factor. The ref was frustrating with too many technical penalties where it should have been play on and too many given from players diving. I thought it would cost us as we were getting pens on the zero and first tackle, and we seemed to concede them on the 4th/5th in the first half. But when we were given a glut of baffling penalties against us in the first half, we seemed to crack on, whereas Leigh seemed to lose their rag hence the 2 sin-binnings.

Webster is so key, really is standing up to the opposition and giving plenty to them in those "heated moments" he gives us that backbone that we've lacked for a good number of years.

Lastly well done Kear. I was frustrated early in the season with our poor attack but we definitely seem much more fluid now, and that's with our first 3 HBs out.

A young squad with plenty of HG players that's improving. Happy Bulls fan tonight.

How did Bentley play?

Does he get into our strongest 17?

I thought he did OK but would have Storton in my side before Bentley. He gets better and better with every game.

No complaints. The better team won. We didn't help ourselves in the second half, (with the elements in our favour - is it always that cold? ) with very poor discipline, and very little respect for the scraps of possession we got!

Thought our physio was a player, who had left his warm-up shirt on, he was on the pitch that much.

Well done, on a deserved win, and here's to the game at LSV - where it will definitely be warmer!
