Dewsbury is actually closer for me but it will never be home for the bulls. We could actually do with a very similar stadium to dewsbury got plonked over the room on Richard Dunn’s.
Aim number one should be to forget about an immediate return to super league. Do not use the saving on a push for promotion. Instead get the savings into a big pot and build up some funds for this new stadium.
I can't imagine any club, and particularly one without a very wealthy owner, ever getting together the cash to finance a new-build stadium. In my opinion the push for SL is also very unlikely, unless a return to the old system is brought back - and even then, only if we have far more friends than we might expect.
More than anything the club needs to keep the fans engaged imo, and that means having a strong competitive team, maybe even having the cash to keep a few more of our own academy graduates. We won't win promotion this year even if we do the nearly as impossible and make the top five. Nor will we be able outspend Toulouse next year (along with the relegated SL team plus any other high financed team the RFL decide will make a good fit for the lower divisions) so best use what cash we have to improve the squad and leave financing stadiums for the finance sector like virtually all the other clubs.

Apparently the season tickets are for Dewsbury Rams RLFC????? Or am I missing something? I may be.

Hope so.....but I think there is much more to this than meets the eye. I will not speculate, but do wait for Charmers speaking when he returns? Is he in NZ?

I should imagine he'll arrive at the interchange on the train and stop to buy a paper. He'll whistle a merry tune and decide he'll not bother with a taxi and instead skip up Manchester road. Possibly playing air guitar.
And all this because he's been in New Zealand putting the finishing touches on a takeover by Auckland based Graeme Hart who is worth £8.4 billion.
In the absence of good news I'm going to invent some.
