Close game but we came out as 20-18 winners and are through to the Yorkshire Cup Final. Minchella, Flanagan and Pickersgill combine for a great second half try.

Calum Bustin has a suspected broken leg. Terrible news at the start of the season. Oliver Wilson has also broken his thumb in last weeks game. We could be looking for another prop pretty soonish.

Bloody hell, thought we were more than well stocked for props, but with Peltier, potentially Bustin both medium-long term, Crossley recovering from surgery (hopefully fit for first game) just starting to look a little vulnerable.

Still got Crossley (hopefully), Magrin, Kirk and Green. For the game against Fev.
Gutted for Bustin as he was looking excellent in the friendlies. Hopefully not season ending.

Of course, that's assuming no further injuries. The way they are going down, I wouldn't bet against that

We've also got O'Sullivan - but possibly still need another body, depending on how close Crossley is to fitness.

Also reported in the T&A that Jy Hitchcox is out with a back injury and may not make the start of the season

Probably move Wood to prop.

Plenty of options for LF. Minchella/Hallas best options.

It was very difficult from standing high up on the terrace to make out which player was who. But, one or two new bodies made themselves popular with the home fans.
I thought it was a good pre-season run out, particularly the first few minutes of each half. I'm enjoying the fact that there's something to play for, as well as giving everyone fair chance to claim places in the first team.
The young lads certainly stood up this evening, and showed their potential. Alongside the experienced players, we're looking better and better. Can't wait fir the season to start. I might even go to Hudds tomorrow, I'm so enthused.....perhaps.....

I hope we are not relying on O'Sullivan to play. He's absolute garbage. Albeit it's only been two games but he is terrible. Can't read a play. Barely makes meters. Shoots out when there is no need and cost us a try doing this. Waste of a signing in my opinion. Would be better promoting Scurr who looked decent!

For the Fev game I would be happy to go with Crossley, Kirk, Magrin and Green. But the longer we are without Wilson, Peltier and Bustin the more chance we have at these guys getting injured. A prop now (even a short loan) is a priority now in my opinion.

Good to get the win. Thought the play involving Flanagan, Pickersgill, Wildie and Minchella finishing was a fantastic piece of rugby. Some great defence and finishing from Evans. And all the young lads stood up really well against what looked like Dewsbury 1st team.

Pleased to see Milnes take more charge when Keyes went off (hopefully Keyes wasn't injured and Kear just wanted to see Wildie in the halves).

Keyes had a back spasm.

Second game already this season when Keyes has had to come off with back problems. Also didn't Hitchcock get a bad back injury at Cas last year and had to miss a fair bit of the season. I hope this is not an ongoing problem.
