Seems we are being treated to a lot of history lessons from our battling shareholders, but coming back to the original subject of the thread it would be nice to see some plans for the future.
It would give some reassurance to most of the folks on this site - or at least give us some chance to save up for the next contribution! Plus if the buggering about continues and I was one of the players OOC - then you could not blame them for seeking some securityfor next year and it's the ones the fans would most like to retain who will be getting the most offers

So, if the money we paid has (inter alia) cleared off the money due to the bank, have we effectively secured the release of the current board from their PGs?

Its funny you should say that...
We are coming perilously close to having to admit some of the more sensible of the Wakey fans may have had a point?
That said, I guess at least we still have a club to support, that (thus far, at least) has escaped administration and a team that is performing somewhat above expectations?

Indeed.
Hood has disappeared into his bunker. Coulby is playing politics through the press. Caisley is keeping his head down for now. Bennett has disappeared. Ryan is probably wondering why the hell he chose this line of work. And we just have to accept whatever the shareholders finally decide. Oh joy.

I think there is probably still is an overdraft, just one reduced from it's previous levels. So no doubt our newly prudent bankers will still want their pound of flesh.

Point about the pledge money releasing Hood and Bennett from PG's is taken.
On Coulby I'm not sure how else you try and address the fan base except through the media. Some of the stuff he said was astonishing even to those of us who were wholly cynical to begin with. In the present climate I regard anyone saying anything to be a step forward.
Could Bullbuilder contact him and ask for a meeting?

I think Coulby might have said some reassuring things directly to the supporters in his reported statements? Given how we are all sat here waiting for the crack of doom? You are right in that some of his statements WERE astonishing, the more so for not having (yet?) been rebutted. But a bit more meat on the bones about the future would have helped I think? Although I can also understand why he maybe has to be careful in what he promises or alludes to.
I can't speak for the Bullbuilder board, but my personal view - when the subject of talking to the heir/s apparent has been raised - has been that it risks getting (more) involved in the current politics, which has been outside the BB board's current remit from the members. If there had been a groundswell from the members asking that we do so, then obviously the situation would have been different. I also think the situation would be very different if Hood was no longer in the chair, since that constraint would no longer be there.

I really hope that PH sees that it must now be in everyone's interest that he stands aside, and lets someone who has the confidence of a majority of the shareholders pick it up and run with it. I really cannot see any reason for him staying - or wanting to.
This seeming stasis just can't go on. Please Peter?
As far as I am concerned - whatever the outcome (and that incudes a rebirth if needed) .. there is some serious bridge building required from who ever gains control towards the fans.. (and players I would think).
I have maybe been naive - but I have learnt a lot in the past couple of months and I am absolutely in no mood for any "rallying calls" again.
Only honestly and transparency will do for me - otherwise - brass is staying in pocket.
