As I said on another thread the club aren't thinking strategically, and I'd have replaced Mark before the break and given someone these 5 'easier' games to come in and build momentum. I also feel for Mark he's a good man who bleeds RAB, but he should never have been asked to get us out of this league, under the conditions he was asked to do so.
I don't think it matters who comes in if the vision, strategy or the tactics to achieve the vision are unclear, they will fail. So the clubs administrators need to take a long hard look at themselves, what is it they're trying to achieve, where do they want to go, do we have the right strategy and tactics to get there?
For example if the tactics to achieve a strategic goal are to use loan's and dual registration, then we may need a certain type of coach and particularly one that's been successful in that model before, perhaps someone like John Duffy, but if the strategy is to grow more organically, slow and steady building on the back of our academy Mark might have been the guy as those young players would have had some respect for him and what he did for them. We need to find someone that is the right who, for the strategy and tactics we're deploying.
When the club have figured that out, we might start going somewhere!
P.S. I'd still go fishing in the Queensland or NSW Cup for a hungry aussie like Luke Burt at Burleigh Bears, but not sure we're much of a pull anymore
