I don't think its a bad decision we only have Ross Oakes and Rhys Evans at centre for this season, they both can play 2nd row maybe Kears plan is to move one of these into 2nd row and a new centre to come in.

That’s what I was thinking. Oakes had some good games at 2nd row last year

Pollsters doing Excellent job - say recent polls.

Has anyone got an upto date squad list?

Im my head i have us down as only having 14/15 senior players at the min. However my head isnt always the most reliable source.

I,ve been trying to keep track, but its not easy. This was the latest list I had, but it is probably incomplete as the club seem very coy about announcing which members of last years Academy have been given senior contracts for next year. I'm also guessing at positions in some cases.

Full Back
Pickersgill
Stephenson
Brown

Wing
F-Johnson
M Smith
Leadbeater
Greg Johnson
Butterworth

Centre
Oakes
Culling
Punton
Evans
S.Smith

Half Back
Lilley
Milnes (on loan)
Shackleton
Green

Loose
Hallas

Second Row
Farrell
Hodgson
Vaznys
Gallagher

Hooker
Flanagan
Doyle
Berry

Prop
Crossley
Kirk
England
Foster
Scott
Scurr

If anyone knows Ive definitely got something wrong, then please feel free to amend.

Thanks Sedge.
Appreciated.

By my reckoning thats 15 that have at played 1st team for us (excluding the 1895 cup game at barrow) and the 2 new lads.

Of the 15:
Brown only 1 or 2 games
Stevenson only 1 or 2 games
Doyle less than half a dozen
Milnes about 10
And Hodgeson who hasnt really had a look in for the last 2 seasons

Anyone else worried???

I think everything is been covered up, I also think Kear won’t care as he will be on a decent wedge, so he will say owt, we have signed 2 new players and was told a few more will be signed and a duel reg would be announced something in back of my mind had 2nd dec about signings,,, yet again nothing from the club, Kear also said less friendlies this year again a load of bull,,,

Yeah.

Whilst we can obviously put out a team, it feels much like 2017 when we were seeing young kids getting mullered every week by grizzled Championship veterans.

You would think that Kear of all people has the contacts to get us a grizzly old Championship pro if that's what we're lacking. There were a few SL forwards knocking about in CH1 who just picked up the phone from a coach they respected asking for a bit of help, so it clearly happens. We do need to make some signings because as things stand I'd struggle to look forward to the 2020 season. Facebook would no doubt tell me to "just be grateful you have a club to support" because that's the sort of inane guff that gets spouted.

In defence ok JK. Chalmers offered Hunslet and York a friendly which JK didn't know was planned.
