Do you think so? I preferred it when they came up with rib-ticklers like the one about Smith only minding the shop till Powell returned, best laugh in ages that one was. Return my It still makes me laugh now

My point is that coaches should not ideally be changed mid-season. Both Smith and McClennan came into the job having full off-seasons at Leeds, and in both cases the departing coaches left with some dignity. My argument is that McNamara should be given at least until the end of next season, unless the team are really poor.
The idea of Powell being 'promoted' may seem laughable now, and to be honest I don't think many Leeds fans are either embarrassed about it or care that much given the rewards reaped under Smith. In many ways it helped ease the transition. That said I'm not suggesting that something similar be done with McNamara if he is deemed to be surplus to requirements. I don't think he's the type who will accept being 'moved upstairs', or being turned into a number 2.

And - If you are just out to get a reaction of any sort, I am a bit disappointed in you because that is what a troll looks to do. I thought you were trying to change peoples opinions on McNamara. It is the quality of your discussion in the threads - not the quantity of threads that will achieve that. I agree with AF - I think we have managed not bad this season with what we have had available in the financial climate we have had to work with. A different coach may have managed 4th place instead of 5th but that is about it.
Also - I don't think McNamara will be asked to go this close season and I also don't believe the board will countenance a mid season sacking (this isn't football - and it is also not the way Bradford does things) so he is here for another year. When is his contract up for renewal?
So it is fairly pointless how much criticism is laid at his feet at present because it is his and the teams performance next year that will decide things.

However, FWIW, are some people so dim as to realise that if i did not care about the club then I would not give a damn about how bad we are doing?
As for the title "Don't You Just Love It?". Personally I was referring to the latest bunch of anti-McNamara threads started by others. It was meant to be ironic and provocative. It clearly worked as, despite comments to the contrary elsewhere, it has got a reaction.
TBH, Eddie, your posts come across a little like your mind was made up some time ago and now you're quite eager to be proved right. This may very well be unfair, but your reaction to the undeniably reasonable observation that McClennan gets much more assistance from his predecessor's youth policy than McNamara did little to disprove it.
I realise that I've come across as a dogmatic supporter of Hood and SM this season, but I guess that's because my view is this - they are prepared to do their respective jobs. That's no small thing in the absence of qualified candidates of a similar disposition.
This really is rehashing old ground - was thinking of posting another point along the lines of 'You think we've got it bad, look at Halifax', but I think we need one SM for/against thread, and then those who wish to avoid it can do so easily.
