Well if Johnson is out due to concussion then I'd play Moss over Jowitt.

Agreed Bullseye! He did 80 minutes last week. I don't want this rubbish of "we need to be careful with him etc" with the opening set of fixtures we've got we can't ease ourselves into the season.

Moss may or may not be very good but we saw having Lilley and Jowitt was a disaster. We need a half back playing at half back.

Coming through, Jowitt was seen as a natural full back but has become a utility back which may be harming his development. It is telling that last season Jowitt was going to be our starting FB until Walker became available. Then when Walker went, we signed Gaskell so that Holmes could go to FB. Now Holmes is unavailable we loaned in a young FB from Huddersfield. Jowitt's best game in recent memory was that away game at Halifax last year where I think he started on the wing and ended up covering FB?

Yeah I remember he looked alright there. Trouble was that Tom Holmes was so good at fullback that Jowitt was never going to get back in.

Doro back early for game and Ott visa must have come through. Lineup not as bad as expected.

If Doro is fit (and it seems a gamble as he's barely 5 weeks into a 8 week lay-off) then id expect us to line-up something like below.

With us being adamant that we weren't going down the route of short term loans, and us now having 6 loan players (granted two are season long) feel like it puts a bit of pressure on the loan lads to perform and also EOC to get a result Friday.

Doro can't be ready yet. He's got to be in the squad but not the team, just to put a ? in people's minds. So I would swap Smith in for Doro and Davies will start, so swap him for Wilson. But 3 short term loan players on the bench. Looks odd. I mean our homegrown middles who are possible would be Jamie Gill (?injured) and maybe Bailey Arnold? But the loan guys are proven at this level. You could argue that Wood doesn't look out of place at SL level.
