Coming up to 29 in January, although he seems to have been around forever! (remember his sensational debut for Whitehaven against Salford, when he was still at school?)
In his last two seasons at Leigh, he suffered horror injuries in pre-season friendlies, but worked his 'whotsits' off to recover and play well, on return.
Would welcome him back with open arms! He always worked well with Ridyard.
Wasn't Hitchcox also described as a full back. If McNally did go I would like to see Pickers given a chance but I do take the point about his tackling. He has been given two more years so Kear must rate him. If McNally went then spend that money on Egodo? I don't expect promotion again for a few years so I would like to see us take the opportunity to bring on as many young ones as possible - as well as being very competitive so us fans enjoy watching the team grow together until we are ready to step up and dominate SL again.

Yeah he was a full back when he first came over for Fev

I like Pickersgill and think he had a fantastic season but it is no contest between him and McNally for me atthe moment. Watching him for Ireland in the internationals hes still all class. He has never been injury prone and I'd be happy thinking last season was a one off.
But I have seen all the just giving pages etc and if he is wanting to be closer to home can't blame in
Yep it would be an interesting decision. Certainly wouldn't begrudge him a move closer to home if his wife isn't too well.
I do agree regarding Pickersgill,, he played well last year but still has a few areas to work on. Particularly with us stepping up in leagues. However as others have said, this is a free hit this season so it's an ideal opportunity to give the likes of Pickersgill and Storton plenty of game time and improve further.
I've said it all a long, next season is where I think we'll seriously challenge. I'd be amazed if Toronto don't go up this time. Next year we won't have a Toronto and another year in the championship for Widnes will only weaken them. That's my grand master plan anyway haha

There would have to be some bridges built for him to return to Leigh, I suppose. Gregg was one of a group of players who were taking legal action against Leigh, when their contracts became 'null & void' at the end of our SL season. Usually it's the players who invoke that clause, but Leigh beat them to it! (that's two successive years we have upset contracted players - not a nice thing to do!)

Ah, but another year there may strengthen us - surely we can't get any weaker?!
