I honestly couldn't say pal. The only action I've seen of the young lads was about 10-12 minutes of the Saints friendly on Youtube. But if I was going to pick names I'd like to see Elliot Culling get a game against someone like Hemel towards the back end of the season. Played with him last year and he's a quality player and apparently been playing really well for the Bulls Academy too.

How old is that Okanga? Not sure what he's like but heard he makes some good yards.

And back to the topic, is there any young lads we can expect to see this season maybe make their debut for the first team. I'm drawn towards Oliver Wilson and Rowan Milnes to debut this season.

Rowan Milnes looks one hell of a classy player! Has to be thrown in against some of the lower teams in this league. Remember watching the academy against Wakey and he scored two beauty tries. Glided passed about 3 players and out-paced them all. One of those rare players who doesn't look like he's running particularly fast, but no one can get near him. Like Sean Long. Has a step on him too similar to Henry Pauls one he did at old Trafford where he went full length.

Ryan Butterworth looks an excellent winger too and I've already said what a prospect Luke Littlewood is (look at the try he sets up in the game against Saints)

We've once again got some special young kids

I thought that Okanga looked smashing. Good engine. Same side as Culling too.

Liked what I saw in the two friendlies I saw Milnes play in (Halifax and Sheffield) and thought he had some good touches. Especially his short kicking game which resulted in a few good ends to sets which in my opinion we have lacked for a while (unless Chisholm is on the field). I just hope we give him a chance this season. I'd like to see him potentially starting alongside Chisholm against the 'lower' teams with Keyes coming off the bench just in case.

Can't comment on Butterworth or Littlewood as I haven't seen them really.

Looking sharp mate great getting Tony to buy into another year. Dave finally playing full back for Dudley Hill too. You playing at Wibsey again this season?

Sorry for derailing the thread

Great to see we have kept with still being able to attract these level of kids. Shows Bastian is right to be kept where he is between him and (as much as I hate giving bowling lads credit haha) the coaching staff they have done a great job selling the club to these kids especially considering recent troubles showing them there is a future at the bulls

Good luck at Milliom! And yeah Tony is true club legend. Awesome bloke.

Agree with you on being able to attract talent though. Shows the Bulls still have pedigree with the young ones. Hopefully they will be rewarded in time with debuts for the first team. Hope Hodgson for one gets a big chance this season! And as I said before I hope Milnes gets a few games alongside the class that is Chisholm.

Seems if you go to the Bulls there is a pathway that isn't always there at others. From scholarship right up to first team. Having a lot of kids come through and play for England or get a SL place also shows the strength of the youth set up. A kid could go to a bigger club but not have the pathway or the same quality of coaching.

Not sure who we signed in 2018. If anybody has a link or list then it can be updated.

I called Milnes and Wilson making their debuts haha! Albeit a year late for Wilson. Looking back in that thread the three I thought might make it big was Mellor, Roberts and Naughton. Played against all three and they were a different class. Naughton especially. We should look at him tbh to do a fullback’s job for us next year. Kept himself in shape just may lack match fitness!
