In fairness to him, I've often looked at the sinks in the bogs at Odsal and thought if I didn't already know, I could easily mistake them for pee troughs if I wasn't paying attention. Add into that a less than average IQ and a large amount of beer, and I can see how the mistake would be easily made. I doubt he's the first and unless the sinks get replaced, I can't see him being the last.

On a side note did anyone else think there was a lack of stewards. Numerous fans from both sides should have been thrown out

I really object to this comment. I attended the game with a pal of mine. We had a pint in the Top House and a pint in the club bar. We watched the game and cheered for Fev. We did not get involved in any fighting, goading, or any other activity likely to cause a breach of the peace. And yet we are all classed as scum!

All clubs have a minority of fans hell bent in causing trouble. As you said , numerous fans from BOTH clubs could or should have been thrown out. Does that make Bulls fans scum as well? Clearly the vast majority of Bulls fans are well behaved and a credit to their club just as the vast majority of Fev fans are!

Yes whilst I personally have experienced some extreme Featherstone behaviour over the years, you are of course not all scum at all and those like you that came for a beer and to cheer their team on have my respect.

Let's not turn this into a slanging match. After all we can all agree about Wakey instead surely.

Anyone know if Magrin was injured or not selected?

Fair point Roversspud. Although I too have witnessed a few unsavoury incidents involving Rovers fans over the years (beginning at Wembley 1973!) I certainly wouldn't label you all "scum" as the vast majority of you are fine. However there were a group of young blokes at Odsal on Sunday who were chanting the "f" word throughout the game, and who on leaving the ground were chanting "town full of P***s" which is completely unacceptable. Rovers needs to do something about these supporters behaviour as they are a stain on a well respected club.

Good, solid game and fantastic to come out on the right side of the result. Game could have gone either way but we showed the mental strength to get the win. Pleasing that considering we were missing a few especially in the forwards. Both teams will improve as the season goes on, and fev won’t be panicking, but for us it was a great start.

Off the pitch, I was disappointed with (a minority) of both sets of fans if I’m honest. I was stood very close to the fev fans and yes a lot of the young ish lads were pretty drunk and abusive, including shouting abuse if any bulls fans shouted encouragement to our team. However they didn’t cause any trouble until the scuffle in the middle to which they ran over to get a closer look / join in.

What caused the scuffle I didn’t see.

That being said, we have a few of our own ‘fans’ that like to congregate and generally goad the opposition fans, usually more than watching the game. The amount of V signs, songs etc. It sparked a reaction, not excusable but only helped to fan the flames really especially with the ones that can’t handle an ale.

Not selected I would assume as he was named in the 19 man squad last week.

Sadly i was right

Oh the stewards were all keeping warm in the Touchdown. Not their job to be out there in the cold keeping an eye on the fans

From my seat in the stand, apart from those dealing with entry, I only saw one steward all game.
