Rochdale is a gimmee so the Eagles game is the one last effort needed from the squad, and we get a respectable 6th place finish. We owe them one from earlier in the season too.
Lol, I love the idea of the Bulls taking a 'gimme', yeah, right!
Let's be right, they will definitely be there for the taking but will we be bothered to pick up?

We had a few gimmees this season and lost which is why we are relying on other teams results, we have been here before if my memory services me correctly and it has kicked us in the ass we never seem to learn until it is to late. I am still happy with where we are this year, York are only up there because of the constant flow of loans from Leeds i think

York are up there as they've got the happy knack of winning close games, a settled halfback partnership, a small squad, very few injuries, no distractions (reserves, 19's, 16's) and they've used the loan market very well to get in 1 or 2 SL fringe players when they've needed to.

Yeah they've done very well. I did wonder if we should've followed the same model but apparently running the U19s and U18s was part of the conditions Chalmers was given when he took over.

I've seen Bulls snatch defeat from the Jaws of victory multiple times, but if we can't beat a team that has won 1 game all year, used 50 players, and has a points difference of nearly - 800 then I give up.
I also don't think we've messed up on any gimmees this year as we haven't lost to any of the sides in the bottom half this year. Only dropping a point against Swinton but their probably one of the form teams in the league at the minute.

Please enlighten me. Which so called 'gimmes' have we lost this season?

We should have beaten York at home, and in the end it's looking like that will be the game that costs us a playoff place. I seem to recall us missing quite a few players for that York game, certainly Keyes and Peltier did not play. Not an excuse for losing but they definitely would have made a difference.
I think if we'd had Keyes fit for the whole season we'd be a good 4 or 6 points higher up the table right now.

Not correct. We Lost at Blackpool to Fax and away at Widnes, both those teams are in the bottom half of the table.

Knew I'd missed a team out in Widnes haha, but I certainly wouldn't call Fax or Widnes gimmees which was the original point. Despite Fax's lowly position, they always raise their game for us and Widnes a top end team when we arrived at their place.
