For my money he's a good prospect; let's not forget he's still very young and has a good bit of timber to put on before being fully 'equipped' for the prop role. He has all the right instincts though and is pretty fearless he just needs time, games and experience.

Kirk reminds me of a young Kopczac. Similar build and style at a young age, the older he got the better he got and developed into a good front row forward. We should give him time and in Kear`s hands he could not have a better tutor, he loves his front row forwards.

Beer is the root of all my problems, ironically it solves them too Homer

I think people misunderstand Kirk's strengths. Someone mentioned he's a workhorse, and that's exactly why he's in the team. He's not expected to be the big barnstorming prop who knocks defenders off left, right and centre. He's not expected to be the one who ties up 4 players and offloads to create space. He's the workhorse, he's the tackler, the one with the high carry stats, the dependable one who's still hitting the ball up when everyone else is a bit knackered.

I'm as guilty as anyone for criticising him in the past, but when you watch what he actually does, as opposed to what he doesn't do, you get why coaches keep picking him.

Does that mean you expect him to leave before the end of the season. :D :D
