A few years back, the RFL changed the rules .... With freedom of contract it is a lot rarer for players to stay at one club for 10 years / whole of their career any more.
For those players that fail to meet those criteria, but have played around the 300 game mark, the RFL has the power to award an 'RFL Testimonial' ... Keith Senior had one a couple of years ago, inspite of the fact that he would only qualify for the 10 year mark at one club only at the end of this season. It took in to accout his time with Sheffield, including a cup win, as part of the equation.
