Yet again we're the club with the difficult task of facing Newcastle on the eve of magic weekend.

Newcastle maybe bottom, but they have been incredibly close the last few games. You can see this like a slow-motion train crash.

Although we have a different squad, last year's humiliation is at the forefront of our minds and we come away with the two points.

Always enjoy my trip up there even though it is a ball ache on a Friday.

Short turn around so with i fully fit squad i wouldnt be surprised if there are a couple of changes.

Can Walker back up and play 2 games in 5 days and does the fact its a 4g pitch influence selection?
It wouldnt shock me to see Billy at fullback and Flannagan on to the bench.

Arundel back in to the 3/4,

Mason probably struggling with the arm injury? Lawrence and Matongo also in contention.

What ever side we put out, it CANT be as bad as last year........ (can it???)

Who knows with our team. Will it be Jeckell or Hyde that turn up?

First trip up to Newcastle for me so I’m looking forward to it. Hope I don’t regret it.

As RB suggests I can see a few changes if fit bodies allow.

Newcastle also played on Sunday so at least both sides will suffer from the short turn around

We need to go up there on Friday and make up for the absolute sh!tshow that was last years fixture. Would be brilliant to get another confidence boosting win and score some more points and put on a show for the travelling fans. Expecting it to be much closer than that in reality.

As I said before Dunning lost to Barrow. The next 5 were must wins. This is still the case. Need to be going there and getting a win.

Agreed. Best opportunity for us to string some wins together.

With Toulouse playing fax this weekend (so at least one of our play-off rivals losing) then Toulouse having Fev next week, it's a great chance for us just to give ourselves some breathing space in the play-off places. But we know how good we are at taking our chances don't we...

Be happy with a smash and grab win. Newcastle are desperate and been very close in the last few weeks. With the magic weekend crowd behind them, they'll prob see this as their best opportunity for a win.

Masi Matongo in squad for Friday (in place of Mason)

Mason has broken his arm. Here's to a speedy recovery.

I believe he’s headed back to Huddersfield for treatment with their team. Option to return once he’s fit again.
