"There is no game for the Bradford Bulls this weekend, so the club will be using that time to sit down with players to discuss new contracts at the club. It's no secret that there is interest from several Super League clubs (St Helens, Leeds, Hull KR) for young forward Ebon Scurr."
Not surprising - I guess the only way we're going to keep seeing him in a Bradford shirt is by offering regular gametime. Not all SL clubs can offer that, unless he was to come back on loan like Milnes last year.
The likes of Scurr and Gallagher represent the last of the group of kids recruited when John Bastian was in charge of youth development. It'll be interesting to see who are the next to come through. Youth development was challenging enough before covid but even more so since.

"If you start listening to the fans it won't be long before you're sitting with them," - Wayne Bennett.
I'd take it with a huge pinch of salt. You don't have to be in the know, just have eyes, to know that Scurrs performances are probably going to be attracting interest.
Regarding academy players. I believe Lewis Camden is one to watch out for.
Could all be irrelevant anyway if we fail to be granted an academy license. Great way to grow the game reducing the number of academies...

Indeed. That would be a mad decision given all the players our system has contributed.

Dunno why people give air time to that individuals tweets. As mentioned above you dont have to be a rocket scientist to work out there is going to be interest in Scurr.
What happened to that new signing he claimed would be announce a few weeks ago?
He likes to stir the pot to get people talking about him self. Sadly as we have seen in the past, often its been at a detriment to the club.

Quite right and I see the usual trolls are out in force yet again. Is there a way to block them and the bile they post?
For those that watch the Full Eighty Minutes which I co host with Ebon Scurr’s agent, they will know that there is a lot of Super League interest and has been for the past two months.
I only put out that information because the club are going to do their damndest to try and keep him.
Hopefully a positive update to share on Monday’s show.

Looking at the table that the RFL have internally for this current six-year Academy cycle, there will be no surprise to see Bradford in the top six for players produced that are now playing regular first team games in the Super League.
That has to and should count for a lot in the criteria.

He's played this season for them hasnt he?
Interesting York have made yet another loan signing in Mikey Lewis so that may put him higher up the order.
Personally happy with how Lilley and Brough are playing. Obviously that could all change with injuries. But I think it was Bullseye on the other thread that said Lilley going for DG at 22-10 up was excellent game management. IF we make the play-offs the games are likely to be nail-bitingly close and game management will be crucial
