Doesn't bode well for play off rugby does it? We had experience out there as well who should have taken control when we were pushing passes when we just needed to control possession and territory. EOC spoke about the need for patience before the game, where was it?

We've seen this lack of game management all year but earlier in the season we seemed much stronger defensively, we seem to be shipping a lot more simple tries in now. Frustration is the word, when you know these players are capable of so much more and have lost against a pretty ordinary Fev performance.

Apparently we had a 51% completion rate. Despite that we were in winning position until 2mins to go. EOC must be pulling his hair out.

Never felt like we were going to kick on and win the game though did it? Said to my lad early in 2nd half it felt like the game would be won due to an error rather than either side grabbing the game and winning it due to skill.

We really paid for our crap start as well. Fev play a simple game, five drives and kick but Holmes really struggled under Addy's bombs and his confidence took a shake. Then we conceded poorly on either edge. Lehmann racing out of the line for one and another where we stood like statues. I thought we did well to come back from 0-12 to be leading 14-12 at half time. EOC's use of Pele really got us back in the game.

Like you say, we kept letting them back in it when we should've killed it off. When Taufua go sin binned the end had an air of inevitability about it.

It was disappointing to blow it again but I actually enjoyed the game. Miles better than the procession versus Whitehaven. Fev have some great pantomime villains and their coach being animated on the touchline (almost like an excited fan) was good theatre.
