Whilst personally, I can't argue you with that point, however, I question if this is the right approach. No disrespect to players out there, but we need something a little bit more than effort if we plan to aim for some silver.

We were a lot better than pile of sh#te that played wigan tonight.

Forget silver, I'd just like to see a group of players who perform relative to their ability each week, occasionally overachieving.

If, as we are told, the players all think the coach is so brilliant why do they turn out performances like that for him out on the pitch?

They are far from a great squad but they are much better than this.

First game of the season and my expectations of the Bulls were low, but even my expectations were not met this evening. We looked very flat, lacked ideas and effort from the players seemed to be missing tonight. Something needs to change after that tonight, I don't think it could get much worse, and it looked like there was no prospect of things getting any better out there.

It is only 3 games in and there is another 24 games to turn things around though.
