In fairness the Bulls pack looks strong this year. Morrison is as good as any in this league, Menzies is class, even if past his very best now, Burgess and Lynch are both players I rate pretty highly. Newton's still a good player on his day, although the alance seems to have shifted from often brilliant but occasional liability towards the reverse....

The real shortfall in the Bulls squad at present, as I see it (and you've all seen more than me obviously), is in the halves and centres. Deacon is still a good player, but is really more a kicker than an attacking half back and can't really carry that complete burden himself. Jeffries can be good on his day, as he showed at Wakey, but doesn't seem to be having many of those days at the moment.
