Deacon's tactical kicking for position has been good. His attacking kicking (although not used much - tactic?) has not been so good. Jefferies kicking generally has been patchy. Newton has kicked very little but seemed to be ok.
Pretty much agree with all of that.
We`ve not looked very inventive in possession which has cost us dearly, but the biggest influence on our game has been the enforced stop start beginning to the season. We lost our main pre-season game (our only one against SL competition) when we were ordered to play the Harlequins game on the same date. Since that game was postponed and we obviously didn`t play on the original date for the Quins game that left us two games short of where we should have been in terms of match fitness.
That said we`ve now had two weeks of rugby and I`ll be disappointed if there isn`t a fair improvement on the weekend.
