I have started writing the seventh novel in my Ashurst series. It is set between 2015 and 2018 and will, like all my earlier novels, feature tales about the Saints, northern humour, family life and local history all set in my fictional town of Ashurst which is set a few miles east of St Helens. In it I am aiming to include tales taken from the time that I was at Knowsley Road school which was between 1944 and 1950.
One thing that I would like to know are the names of any Saints players who were also pupils there and when. No need for anybody to tell me about Ray French though. I shared a desk with him for our last three years.
What would also be interesting for me is to hear from any of my old school pals, all now in their eighties and no doubt many with a tale to tell about their own life and times!
With older people in mind, I have also written three pages of advice on how to write a novel based on your own life and how this can help you keep mentally healthy. For them I have written three pages of general advice based on how I have done it. If you know anybody who that might interest E Mail
